At Chief Kanim, our counselors, success coordinator, psychologist, and social worker help students thrive by supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth. We believe social-emotional well-being is the foundation for every student’s success.
Program Services
Classroom Lessons (Advisory): Skills for school and life—managing emotions, building empathy, resolving conflicts, handling stress, making friends, respecting diversity, and standing up to bullying.
Small Groups: Support for friendship, peer relationships, stress, family changes, emotions, conflict resolution, and study skills.
Individual Counseling: Short-term, one-on-one support for specific challenges.
Success Coordinator: Tracks academics, attendance, and well-being; connects students and families with resources; encourages positive choices.
School Psychologist: Conducts evaluations, supports struggling and diverse learners, and connects students, families, and teachers with strategies and resources.
Social Worker: Provides individual and group support, connects families with resources, assists in crisis situations, and advocates for equity.
We are committed to supporting the whole student, so everyone feels included, understood, and encouraged to grow in and out of the classroom.
