The Value of Activities and Athletics: Chief Kanim's athletics and activities, are a perfect supplement to the classroom. They provide those who participate with precious life lessons and positive personal characteristics.
Students learn how to function as a team, practice sportsmanship, and fair play. They learn how to handle success and failure. It is not difficult to extend this cooperative element of the activities and athletics to every day life, both in and out of school.
Put simply; through athletics, students become prepared for life. Clearly, there is a direct correlation between students participation in school activities and athletics and academic success.
Athletics and Activities truly do foster and teach time management, motivation, hard-work, and, more importantly, they give kids a constructive environment, and a positive identity that can prove to be invaluable in their development.
